My name is Alex. I was born in 1994. Famous people I share birthdays with include Tom Hiddleston, Michael B Jordan and Joe Pesci. I love pizza and a third of my personality is based on The Lord of the Rings trilogy (extended versions of course).

Since I bought my first camera at the age of 18, a Canon 70D from a dodgy grey market site, my life has been dedicated to the art of imagery. I started my journey as a nightlife photographer and videographer for venues across the North West UK. An unconventional way of networking as most of your subjects won’t recall meeting you for reasons I’m sure you can deduce. Stick around long enough however and they’ll remember you. Connections made in this industry led me to shoot parties, social events and eventually weddings. Today, I’m extremely proud to be in partnership with my childhood friend Scott running our part-time wedding photo & video business Motion Stills Media, shooting stunning weddings across Lancashire and beyond, telling the stories of the incredible couples we capture.

But that journey only encompasses a fraction of my portfolio. I specialise in creating brand focused digital content which resonates with an audience base, ranging from carefully curated product photography to eye catching promotional videos, through working closely with marketing, social and e-commerce teams. Now, all of that may sound very “corporate speak”, however two of my core values are authenticity and sincerity. I don’t believe in manufacturing a fabricated persona, what you see is what you get, just the best version. I believe most people have a sixth sense for insincerity, it cannot be quantified but it’s there. I believe the key to success is to know your audience as people. If I’m shooting someone’s wedding, I’ll buy them a coffee first.
